What I Edit
scripted content
I love editing a story, a set of scenes that conveys the maximum emotion whether it’s laughter or sadness. What really gets me excited is editing a comedy. Laughing is something that I, like anyone else, really enjoy. I love working the footage and finding those little funny moments that can really make a sequence sing.
trailers
Little films that tease the story & elevate the heart rate are what I love cutting. I can cut up almost whatever music track to keep the instrumental parts going and have the vocals say just the right lyric at just the right time. Musical phrasing was something that was taught to me early in life by my piano teacher who emphasized that phrasing gives the piece life and breath. Applying that to trailer editing makes a piece that flows rhythmically and we can tease your film’s story while making an impression so that the viewer will want to see the whole film.
Automotive content
I love cars. To say I’m a car guy would be an understatement. Car content is what I love the most, more than comedies which is a close second. Are you working with engines? Are you hitting the Cars & Coffee meets? Are you doing the build of a lifetime or getting a project running on the tiniest of budgets? I want to make that story into an exciting piece.
Promos
Much like trailers advertise your film, promos advertise you and your skill/business. I break out the same principles of phrasing and musicality are used to make a fun, engaging trailer, to make a fun & engaging promotion that will put eyes on your product & bring traffic to your website.
Color correction & color grading
I have gotten pretty experienced with Final Cut’s color correction tools to really be able to bring out the character’s faces and mute the background so that your focus gets pulled to the scene playing out in front of you with the actors’ performances.
Demo reels
Are you an actor that has some footage you would like to cut into a reel? I’m your guy! We can make a nice intro, cut up a scene so you’re the featured one, and pace it all so that it plays nice & fast to keep the viewer engaged & make a great impression for you.
Video Podcasts
I am a wizard with grouping multiple cameras together; however you did it, I’ll make it work. I’ll cut it together, cut out the fluff, color correct it, & get it out to your fans quickly.
captioning
I have been making subtitles for a comedian’s heckler and crowd work clips for almost two years now. Setups get separated from punchlines and the subtitle appears when you hear the words. My team and I can handle your subtitling needs cheaper and faster than the competition.
BlU-RAY FORMATTING
Did you shoot your masterpiece in 2K, 4K, 8K, 16K, 32K? Formatting that down to a 1080p Blu-Ray ensures that image quality will be maintained while also having the excellent reliability of playing a hard copy instead of relying on a possibly unreliable internet connection.

My Editing Experience
Scripted Content
Just Jackie
Working on Just Jackie was truly a great experience. I really got to dial in my workflow to maximize efficiency & made post production process incredibly smooth. Just Jackie is a sitcom following Jackie through married life’s debacles balancing her three kids and two husbands (Husband & Ex are best friends) with her own life.
Episodes:
The Bar
On my first two short films, the directors picked the performances so I made sure to pick their brains on what they were looking for so I could do a better job when I get to pick them. I got to do all of the picking for The Bar and what I learned coupled with some acting classes produced what you see on the right.
Three Guys & a Couch
This was my first multi-cam full episode series pilot. I worked a lot with the director on this one, he picked the takes he liked and I made them work. What was cool was I got to pick his brain on what to look for in a good performance to make the best sequences and I took that experience into the next pieces described above. You can find the full episode available for viewing on Amazon.
Trailers
I love cutting trailers, distilling the story into a tease that withholds just the right stuff to get you interested in the film/product/you is something I really enjoy putting together.
Automotive Content
To say I’m a car guy would be an understatement. I love cars, engines, the sounds they make, and the stories that can spring from a great car. You’re going to get great music and video that matches what the music does and goes with the phrasing. When the phrase changes, the idea changes.
In addition to YouTube, I also can edit vertical videos for Instagram such as this Max Verstappen edit mixed with a classic Top Gun locker room exchange.
Promos
A good promo is exactly the thing your business needs in this new world of targeted advertising. I’ll cut a full length promo and then chop that cut down to smaller segments so you can tailor your message to your target demographic.
Color Correction & Color Grading
Color correction and color grading is where I get the chance to make the video come alive by pulling the highlights and shadows to the edge of the scope to get an image that is bright & colorful. Then I grade it to pull your focus to the characters in the scene and give the background a nice subtle mute so that the people pop.
Demo Reels
Are you an actor/stunt person/entertainment professional? I’ll make a reel for you! For actors, I can cut the scene and distill the other characters’ dialogue so you get to shine in your reel. For everyone else, let’s get your footage together, agree on a bomb music track, and make a reel that will impress future clients.
Video Podcasts
I also had to deal with multi-cam content at work so I have lots of experience grouping clips together so your multiple angles on all of the talent on your podcast will get put together.
Captioning
I have been captioning standup for two years now. The setups are separated from the punchlines, and I am getting pretty good at sometimes having to decipher what the audience is saying.
Blu-Ray Formatting
The Blu-Ray format will provide a great picture for showing your masterpiece to an audience while being very reliable. I mean, do you really trust your film to run smoothly by streaming it from somewhere? I can format your film, no matter which resolution you shot your film in, to fit the screen at your showing. Formatting was something we had to do multiple times a day at E! News importing content shot on people’s phones into video that will show on TV, so you can be confident that I won’t mess up your footage stretching it or squeezing it.
